The dedication of the War Dog monument

This past weekend Mom, Alex, Jean, Jack, Maddie and I went to Connecticut for the dedication of the monument Papa has been working on at the VFW Park in Bethany, CT - it is a beautiful monument and another great addition to the Bethany Veterans Wall of Honor monument that Papa worked on a few years ago. He is an amazing artist and one of the few left that does such great work in stone by hand - the War Dog monument featured three dogs and a poem "I Wait By the Gate". This monument was also dedicated to my Uncle Peter (my Mom's brother) who passed away 5 years ago at the young age of 52- he and my Papa have such a love for dogs - and I think it is a great tribute to have this monument dedicated in his memory.
